Nowadays, it is extremely difficult to rank high for a large amount of keywords with a single page. However, it is a very effective method of establishing the main topic and other supporting subtopics.
Choose this approach to create one “pillar content” page for a topic that will serve as a sort of overview for all long-tail keywords (selected in the previous step). These main pages will serve as a kind of in-depth index, where you will describe the main topic in as much detail as possible, and also include shorter sections of other aspects of the topic, which you treat in more depth in separate articles (long-form topics).

The number of these main or of column subpages should coincide with your business needs or should be related to the products and services you sell. This will make it much easier for your potential customers and customers to find you on Google – no matter what keywords they use.
Action Step: Make subpages for the main topic first – don’t focus on content for long-tail keywords at this point, just keep them in mind.
Start blogging
Blogging is an amazing way to rank for keywords and attract users to your website. After all, every post on your website is at the end of the day an additional opportunity to rank in Google. If your business does not yet have a blog, we strongly recommend that you create one.
We are preparing some guidelines for writing blog posts and creating content sections:
- Don’t include a long-tail keyword more than 3-4x throughout the article content, as Google doesn’t give it as much weight (exact matches of long-tail keywords) as it used to. Going a step further – including too many long-tail keywords can even be an indicator to Google. that you try to cheat the system and often a penalty follows.
- Make sure you always link to the pillar content article for a chosen Kazakhstan Email List topic. The fastest way to fix this is with basic anchor text within the content.
- When you publish a new article, you must also make a link from the pillar/umbrella article to the new article. Namely, if you link them in this way, you are telling Google that there is a connection between the long-tail keyword and the main topic you are trying to rank for.
Action Step : Write the first content for the main topic that you post on your subpage (previous step). If your main topic will also be an article (and not a product category, service, etc.), write this main article first and only then the supporting articles related to long-tail keywords.
Create a schedule for posting content
Not every article or new subpage you create needs to belong to a topic group. It is also useful to write about some general topics that would interest your customers – this also helps to build authority in the eyes of Google.

Action step: Choose (at least) one day of the week to be your content writing day. Set a time frame 2 hours, from 11am-1pm) and start writing. Also write this down on your calendar, as this will make it more likely that you will stick to your schedule.
Make a concrete plan for building backlinks
No matter what anyone tells you, quality backlinks have been (and will be) an important factor in higher Google rankings.
In short, it is the process of attracting incoming links (also called backlinks) to your website from other, external websites. So when a foreign website makes a link that leads to your website = backlink.
